Notes from this Centre

The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Redcar is a third floor assessment facility. It has six assessment rooms, with one room on the ground floor.

The entrance to the Assessment Centre is across the street from the library. Upon arrival, take the lift to the third floor.

The Assessment Centre can be accessed by lift but if an emergency evacuation of the building is required, such as a fire alarm, the lift cannot be used. There are 75 steps to the ground floor.

If you think that you would have difficulty going down the stairs unaided in the event of an emergency, please ring the Appointments Help Desk number on the accompanying letter at least two days before your appointment date so that we can make alternative arrangements for you.

Pay and display car parking is available on Kirkleatham Street (TS10 1RT), plus an underground car park, which is accessed from Kirkleatham Street. Disabled parking is available outside the Library, across the street from the entrance.

Directions

Train

Redcar Central train station is approximately 0.4 miles from the Assessment Centre.

Exit the station and turn left to go through the alley, keeping the car valeting and garage units on your right. Turn left on Kirkleatham Street and then turn right onto Ridley Street.

Continue straight on to the Assessment Centre on the right.

Car

If you are using Sat Nav, use the postcode TS10 1RT for accurate directions.

From the junction of Kirkleatham Lane (A1042) and Trunk Road (A1085), follow Trunk Road past Locke Park and turn left onto Locke Road.

Go over the bridge and turn right at Redcar Cricket Club onto Kirkleatham Street.

The Assessment Centre, inside the Redcar Civic and Leisure Centre building, is on the left.

Bus

The closest bus stop to the Centre is Civic and Leisure Centre on Coatham Road, approximately 0.1 mile away.

After leaving the bus, walk up Coatham Road and turn right onto Ridley Street. Continue straight on to the Assessment Centre.
