Notes from this Centre

The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Pontefract (Wakefield Road) Assessment Centre is a ground and first floor facility. It has three assessment rooms.

If you think that you would have difficulty using the stairs, let us know when we call you. We can arrange for your assessment to take place in a ground floor room.

There is step-free access. Accessible toilets are available.

There is a drop off point and disabled bay directly outside the main entrance. Parking for blue badge holders is available in the nearby residential area and there is free parking available in the car park on Wakefield Road. Please note, there is a pedestrian crossing between the car park and the Centre.

Directions

Train

Pontefract Baghill train station is approximately 1.1 miles from the Assessment Centre.

To connect from the station, exit onto Station Lane. At the junction, turn left and go to the bus stop. From here, you can take a bus to Wakefield Road/Queen’s Avenue, directly opposite the Assessment Centre.

This bus stop is served by buses 147, 148 and 149.

Car

From M62:

Exit the motorway at junction 32, following signs for Pontefract/A639.

Continue on the A639 for 1.5 miles, before turning right onto Wakefield Road/A645. Continue on Wakefield Road for 0.5 miles. The Assessment Centre is on the right, opposite the park.

Bus

The nearest bus stop is Wakefield Road/Queen’s Avenue, directly opposite the Assessment Centre.

This bus stop is served by buses 147, 148 and 149.
