The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Pontefract (Liquorice Way) Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility. It has five assessment rooms.

There is pay and display parking available outside the Assessment Centre. There are three disabled parking spots outside the Centre.

  • PIP Assessment for people claiming Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Universal Credit (UC)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Other benefit assessments for people claiming a range of benefits such as Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children or Veterans UK

Directions

Train

Pontefract Tanshelf is the nearest railway station to the Assessment Centre, approximately 0.5 miles away.

Upon leaving the station, walk down the road and turn right towards Beechnut Lane, then turn left onto Beechnut Lane. Turn left again onto Park Lane, and continue to follow the road. Take a slight left onto Cornmarket, then turn right onto Liquorice Way. The Assessment Centre is on the right.

Car

From M62, junction 32
Follow signs for Pontefract. Go straight across at traffic lights and take the left lane.

Take the second left turn into Cornmarket and then the first right into Liquorice Way. Follow the road round to the right. The Assessment Centre is on the right.

 

Bus

The nearest bus stop is the Pontefract Bus Station, 0.3 miles away.

Upon leaving the bus station, cross the road. Go straight on past the town hall and Barclay’s bank, both on the left.

Continue through the alley to the left of M&S, leading to Liquorice Way. The Assessment Centre is directly in front of you across the road.
