Notes from this Centre

The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Newcastle Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility. It has 29 assessment rooms.

Please note that the Assessment Centre entrance is on the right side of the building (when facing the front of the building).

Limited parking, including disabled parking, is available on site. If parking is required, please give your car registration number to the receptionist upon your arrival.

  • PIP Assessment for people claiming Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Universal Credit (UC)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Other benefit assessments for people claiming a range of benefits such as Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children or Veterans UK

Directions

Train

Regent Centre metro station is 0.9 miles from the Assessment Centre. Upom leaving the station, follow the footpath round (pass the traffic lights) on to the pedestrian area in front of the large glass fronted building (Regent Point). Turn right after the zebra crossing. The Assessment Centre is on the left.

Car

A1 northbound/southbound:

Take the A1056/Wideopen turn off (Gosforth Park) and follow B1318 to Regent Centre. At the third roundabout, stay right and cross over the roundabout (keeping in the right lane). Turn right at the traffic lights (signed Regent Centre) and bear left on to Regent Farm Road. After passing Arden House on the right, take the third exit at the roundabout. Please report to traffic control management on your right as you drive into the site.

Bus

The nearest bus stop is Regent Centre Interchange, 0.9 miles from the Assessment Centre.

Follow the footpath round onto the pedestrian area in front of the large glass fronted building (Regent Point). Continue walking along and turn right after the zebra crossing. The Centre is on the left.
