Notes from this Centre

The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Leeds (Quarry House) Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility. It has eight assessment rooms.

The entrance is at the far left of the building. There is no public access to the Assessment Centre via the main central entrances of Quarry House. There is currently a large construction site in front of the building and the ground is very uneven in places.

Parking is available in Quarry Hill car park (LS2 7PA). Limited on-site disabled parking is available for Blue Badge holders.

  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Universal Credit (UC)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Other benefit assessments for people claiming a range of benefits such as Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children or Veterans UK

Directions

Train

Leeds train station is located 0.9 miles from the Assessment Centre.
Upon leaving the station, turn right onto Boar Lane. Go through Duncan Street onto New York Street and York Street, with Kirkgate market on your left. Cross St Peter’s Square and walk up St Peter’s Square. Turn left onto St Cecilia Street until you arrive at Quarry House. The entrance to the Assessment Centre is on the far left of the building.

Car

From A64:
From Marsh Lane, head north towards the Inner Ring Road (A64).
At the north entrance barrier to Quarry House, press the intercom button and provide the claimant’s name and appointment details. Once the barrier is raised, turn immediately right up the hill and follow direction signs. When leaving by car, follow the direction signs and exit via the south entrance. There is no exit via the north entrance.

Bus

The nearest bus stop to the Assessment Centre is Cultural E, 0.1 miles away.
Upon leaving the bus, walk up York Street and take a slight left onto Marsh Lane. Turn left again for the Assessment Centre.
