The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Halifax (Dean Clough Mill) Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility. It has two assessment rooms.

Please use the buzzer when you arrive, and our reception team will come to meet you.

There are eight steps up to the entrance, with a handrail and a stairlift. Lift access is available at all times inside the Centre itself. Accessible toilets are available.

Disabled parking is available via Gate 1 and various points around the Dean Clough Mills complex. Pay and display parking is available via Gate 9. A drop-off point is available outside Mill D of the Dean Clough Mills Centre.

Directions

Train

Halifax train station is approximately 0.9 miles from the Assessment Centre.

As there are no direct connections, we recommend taking a taxi from outside the station. Please contact us before you travel to ensure that we can reimburse your taxi fare.

Car

Travel towards Halifax. From the A58 or A629, exit the roundabout onto Ovenden Road, signposted as Keighley/A629/Ovenden.

Continue straight onto Ovenden Road for approximately 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Shroggs Road. Continue to follow the brown signs for Dean Clough Mills and take the first left onto Lee Bridge, following the road for approximately 0.4 miles.

Look for the blue sign at the junction with Corporation Street. Keep left at the fork and continue onto Dean Clough, following the blue sign for directions to Gate 1.

After a few hundred yards you will see a green ‘1’ sign on the left building just before the overhead walkway. Turn left and go through the archway. The Assessment Centre is to your right.

Bus

The nearest bus stop is Dean Clough Mills, approximately 0.1 miles from the Assessment Centre.

Upon leaving the bus, turn right onto the service road. Continue straight ahead. The Assessment Centre is on your right.

This bus stop is served by buses 502 Great Northern Line, 524 and 526.
