The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Glasgow Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility. It has 34 assessment rooms.

Due to limited accommodation, only one carer or companion can accompany a customer to an Assessment Centre room.

Paid parking is available on Brown Street (G1 4RU), approximately 0.3 miles away. Alternatively, paid parking is also available at the St Enoch Centre (G1 4BW), approximately 0.4 miles away.

Assessments offered

  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Universal Credit (UC)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Other benefit assessments for people claiming a range of benefits such as Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children or Veterans UK

Directions

Train

From Queen Street Station:

Exit onto Queen Street. Turn right onto Argyle Street then left onto Robertson Street. The Centre is at the end of the street.

From Glasgow Central Station:

Exit onto Hope Street. Turn right onto Argyle Street, then left onto Robertson Street. The Centre is at the end of the street.

Car

From east:

Take junction 19 from M8. take the A814 exit to Clydebank/S.E.C.C. Turn left onto Argyle Street, then right onto Robertson Street.

From west:

Exit M8 at junction 18 towards Anderston/Charing X/City Centre. Continue on Bothwell Street. Turn right onto Wellington Street. Continue onto Robertson Street.

From south:

At George the Fifth Bridge, turn left onto Broomielaw. Take the next right onto York Street then turn right onto Argyle Street. Turn right onto Robertson Street.

Please note: You cannot drive along Oswald Street to Argyle Street from the south, or down Union Street from the north.

Bus

The nearest bus stop to the Assessment Centre is Midland Street, 0.7 miles away. After leaving the bus, turn left onto Robertson Street for the Centre.
