The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Doncaster Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility. It has eight assessment rooms.

Pay and display parking is available at the end of Wood Street (DN1 3LN) and in Civic Quarter car park (DN1 3JH).

Assessments offered

  • PIP Assessment for people claiming Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Universal Credit (UC)
  • Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Other benefit assessments for people claiming a range of benefits such as Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children or Veterans UK

Directions

Train

Doncaster train station is located approximately 0.4 miles from the Assessment Centre. Leave the station and follow signs to the town centre, straight through Frenchgate Centre. Turn left on exiting and cross road. Take first right onto High Street and continue on as far as the Mercure Hotel (on right). Turn right at the hotel, then take the first left onto Wood Street. The Assessment Centre is located in the large building on the right (Crossgate House). Use the entrance opposite the YMCA charity shop.

Car

From A1(M), junction 36:

Follow the A630 for about a mile towards Doncaster town centre. Take a slight right onto Carr House Road, signposted to Scunthorpe. Continue through one roundabout and take the second left onto Chequer Road, signposted Museum and Art Gallery. At the roundabout, continue straight ahead onto Wood Street. The Assessment Centre is in Crossgate House on the left.

Bus

The nearest bus stop to the Assessment Centre is Cleveland Street, approximately 0.1 miles away.

After leaving the bus, walk towards Young Street. Go around the roundabout onto Cleveland Street, then turn right onto Wood Street. The Assessment Centre is on the right.
