The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Barnsley (John Rideal House) Assessment Centre is a ground floor assessment facility with seven assessment rooms.
There is step-free access and an accessible toilet available.
A disabled parking drop-off point is available to the rear of the building, which can be accessed via Westgate. Pay and display parking is available on Sackville Street (S70 2RQ). Please note there is no customer parking on site.

Directions
Train
Barnsley train station is approximately 0.5 miles away.
Upon leaving the station, walk left along Eldon Street until you reach Market Hill on the right. Walk up Market Hill and turn left onto Shambles Street. The Assessment Centre is on the right.
Car
From M1:
Head towards Barnsley town centre. At the first roundabout (Townend), take the second exit onto Shambles Street. The Assessment Centre is located 160 metres away on the left side.
From other routes:
Shambles Street can also be accessed by car from the north (A635) via Church Street and the east (A61, A635) via Eldon Street and Market Hill.
