Notes from this Centre

The Health Assessment Advisory Service at Ayr Assessment Centre is on Strathayr Place (just before the Jobcentre Plus). It is a ground floor assessment facility with five assessment rooms.

There is limited Blue Badge parking available.

Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Universal Credit (UC)
Work Capability Assessment for people claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Other benefit assessments for people claiming a range of benefits such as Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children or Veterans UK

Directions

Train

Exit the station onto Station Bridge. Turn left at roundabout onto Holmston Road. Continue along John Street, past the Jobcentre Plus on the left, and take the first left onto Strathayr Place. Go to the rear of the building for the Centre’s entrance.

Car

From M77 north/south:

Take the Ayr North turn. Continue along Whitletts Road past the racecourse. Continue along Whitletts Road past the racecourse and onto King Street. Turn left at the roundabout onto John Street. Turn right onto Strathayr Place (just before the Jobcentre Plus) – follow this to the rear of the building where you will find the entrance to the Assessment Centre

Bus

From South Ayrshire:

Buses stop close to Wallacetoun House. Turn right onto Strathayr Place (before the Jobcentre Plus). Go to the rear of the building for entrance to the Centre.

From North Ayrshire:

All buses lead to a bus station on Sandgate. Proceed towards the Police Station and turn right towards the roundabout. Turn right onto Strathayr Place (before the Jobcentre Plus). Go to the rear of the building for the entrance to the Centre.
