Accessibility statement for haas.maximusuk.co.uk
This accessibility statement applies to the above website only and does not cover any other Maximus domains. This website is owned and operated by Maximus.
Using this website
We want as many customers as possible to use this website. You should be able to:
- Change colours, text, font style, size and spacing
- Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- Navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader.
We also make the website text as simple as possible to understand, and ensure the top navigation menu is always visible to help you find the information you need quickly and easily.
How accessible is this website?
Parts of this website are not fully accessible. For example:
- When using a magnifying tool, like Windows Magnifier, the size of your screen may effect the function of the website when high magnification is applied (for example, when text or images are magnified at 1600%)
- When using certain screen readers, like Windows Narrator, headings may not be read out along with other content. When Narrator + F6 is pressed, headings appear in the headings list, or when headings are specifically targeted by a screen reader. Other screen readers, like VoiceOver (on Apple devices) or the VoiceAloudReader app, read headings along with other content without any issues.
- Our website makes use of embedded maps from Google Maps. Where these are not accessible, essential information is always provided in an accessible format like an address.
How to report accessibility problems, request alternative formats or share feedback
Tell us if you want to report accessibility problems or need information in a different format by emailing [email protected]
In your message, include:
- The web address (URL) of the content
- Your email address and name
- The format you need – for example, plain text, braille, BSL, large print or audio CD, or:
- Accessibility problems that are not listed on this page.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
- When using Google Maps, some tables do not have table row or column headers. This means assistive technologies will not read the tables correctly. This fails WCAG 2.0 A success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships)
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are continuously working to fix content which fails to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. We use Silktide and Axe Dev tools to measure WCAG compliance and identify areas for improvement. We conduct regular tests using assistive technologies to ensure our website is accessible, and implement corrective measures as soon as any issues are identified.
